Robotic Arm
Building a basic robotic arm using household materials.

Materials Needed

  1. Cardboard

  2. Straws or wooden skewers

  3. String

  4. Tape or glue

  5. Syringes (optional, for hydraulics).

  6. Scissors

  7. Rubber bands

Steps

  1. Cut cardboard pieces for the arm segments.

  2. Connect segments using skewers or paper fasteners to mimic joints.

  3. Use strings or syringes to simulate muscle movement.

  4. Test the arm’s ability to pick up lightweight objects.

Concepts Learned:

  1. Mechanics of levers and joints

  2. Engineering design

  3. Problem-solving

  4. Basics of robotics
